About this event
In this class safety will be the first discussion to be held. The project will discuss using the cores of bowls to make a pedestal foot to elevate it and make it more visually pleasing with the addition of the foot. Textured beads which will be painted further emphasize the transition areas of the piece, the rim, the joint and the base of the foot! Suitable wood for the project will be discussed and the importance of sharp tools for woodturning. As with all wood turned items, shape and form will be looked at in depth throughout the class. Student's opinions and suggestions are encouraged so further inspiration can be too from the class to experiment on pieces when they return to their shop at home!
The cost of this class will be $135.00 for members, $145.00 for non-members. Blanks will be provided, and pizza will be provided for lunch.
